Is InkMail free?
Yes. The core client — unlimited accounts, real IMAP/SMTP, conversation view, message-list density, custom keyboard shortcuts, snooze, search and reading encrypted mail — is free forever. Leaving a mailing list from the message you are reading is free too. Pro is an optional one-time €19.99 unlock: filters and rules, the local calendar, encrypted sending, message templates, the subscriptions page that gathers every list mailing you into one place, send-later, private notes and the full set of 18 themes.
How many email accounts can I add to InkMail?
As many as you want, on the free version. InkMail does not cap or meter mailboxes and never charges per account. Read them together in a unified inbox or one account at a time; each keeps its own colour, folders and signature. Any IMAP/SMTP provider works, with one-click presets for Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Yahoo, Fastmail, GMX, Zoho, Proton (via Bridge) and more.
Does InkMail track me or use the cloud?
No. Your mail never touches an InkMail server: the app connects straight to your IMAP/SMTP provider, caches messages in a local SQLite file and keeps passwords in your operating system's keyring. There is no telemetry, no cloud relay and no analytics in the app. The one call that does reach us is the Pro licence check.
How does the Pro license work?
You buy a one-time license key on this site via Stripe. Paste it into Settings → Upgrade. It works on up to 3 devices and never expires. There is no subscription and no renewal.
Can I use InkMail with Gmail or Outlook?
Yes. Outlook accounts sign in with Microsoft directly. Gmail works with an app password — turn on 2-Step Verification, then create a 16-character app password; the add-account form walks you through both steps. Any other provider works with standard IMAP and SMTP settings.
Where do I download InkMail?
InkMail is launching soon on the Microsoft Store. The app is free to install; Pro is an optional one-time unlock with a license key bought here.
